NOSE: Grape. Nice, deep velvety resonance supports a spine of dark stone and mannered, concentrated berry extract. A grit of peppermint. Coarse-grained eloquence overall. MOUTH: Energetic, simple fruit sweetness introduces cool, bitter stone and ripe skin tannin. Animal, hairy leaf resins bind the considerable frame. There’s entertainment in its swaying oscillation: wedge-shaped fruit resolving in a molten pool of spice and stone. PERSPECTIVE: Should this wine be this good? What about acid adjustments? I can’t detect any. Is it a very fine common wine, or is it an accessible treasure? 90+ points. TIME: it’s filling out after 24 hours. chewy. probably would peak after 48, or unopened in 2023.

The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blueberry and forest floor. It tastes like blueberry, forest floor and mushroom. The body is full. The wine has leathery texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity. Good QPR needs another year to round out

Heavy wine. A little hot, good tannin structure and acidity to mostly balance it out. Blueberry and blackberry fruit. Fairly long and peppery finish. Not as food friendly as I’m used to with Priorat, probably due to the high 16% alcohol level.

With structure, power and density but not overblown. Quite shisty on the palate.

Maybe just a touch of green on it. On the nose. And then some dark fruit
