The wine is very young but showing length and a berry finish did not decant I wanted to see the changes over time in the glass 2 hrs in the glass became a different wine and improved greatly. It smells like blueberry and raspberry. It tastes like forest floor and strawberry jam. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity. In my opinion it has a long life and will try again in 2028

Young but after 15 minutes opens up with a burst of fruit great mouth feel but has a short finish I think it will improve with a few years of bottle age

7/21/2020 12:38:00 PM - Hey PB, just came across this offer from K & L wines in SF...1980
Inglenook "Limited Cask Reserve Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon $99.99, new to their stock. Says they have 7 on hand. I haven't had it so I can't vouch for it but maybe check the CT reviews and contact them if you're interested. They do ship all over the country, too. Best....Mark
7/17/2020 1:59:00 PM - Hey Barnes, thanks for reaching out.....so you don't like the 'new world' over the top fruit bomb cabs, huh? Lol....there are some old ones still floating around out there. Depends on how old and how aged you like them. Almost every cab out of Cali today is that new fruit bomb style. If you get on Winesearcher.com and punch in what you're wanting they will take you to a list of all available bottles/sellers in the country. It's a free site for their basic info. I get what you like about those old Inglenook cabs. I was a fan of the old Arrowood cabs pre 2005 when Dick sold the winery. There are some nice mid 90's Mondavi Reserves out there but they are usually about $125. Chateau Montelena late 90's to early 2000's are nice, too and often under $100. There are a ton of auction sites that frequently have old Napa/Sonoma cabs from lesser stables like Carmenet, Atalon, etc from the early 90's and believe it or not there are still a good many old Inglenooks floating around too. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any further help. Mark
