Lots of bold fruit with structure that seems more firm vs when tasted in the spring. Good weight and length, just not quite harmonious right now, but 90+ point potential 2028 forward.

I have drank Pierre Labet,s Clos Vougeot wines for many years but this is the first of his Domaine Labet wines I have purchased. I find this Beaune 1er Cru to be very much structured like his Vougeot reds. This is dark red ,good acidity, concentrated dark fruit with a solid tannic spine. Slight fruity perfumed nose with a sour cherry note to the fruit flavours. Needs time to integrate to let fruit balance with the tannins.I will wait a few years to open another bottle. This 2018 will reward cellaring.

Mosaïque en Côte de Beaune - Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Palais des Congrès - Beaune): Walk around tasting. Certainly ripe with good structure that stands just off center in the near background. Good nose, better palate, which is surprising for the vintage. Good weight and length, this should be accessible and balanced young, 2025-.
