Dark beet in color with plumes of berry compote jumping out of the glass, this jammy Petite Sirah is impressively structured without being heavy or overdone. Juicy blackberry thrust onto the palate followed by savory notes of beef broth and peppered meat. For all it's density, it manages to keep fine balance and poise. Holds focus throughout leading to a delicate and persistent finish. Improved each hour as it blossomed into a well-made, fair priced second label red from Talley. Terrific now but can probably go a few more years.

Softer than I expected for a PS, but enjoyable none the less. Lost some freshness, but fruit is still there.
