Dark ruby. Medium intense nose of blackcurrant, some red currant, whiff of strawberries, slight black olives, pomegranate, pinch of crowberry, floral notes, sage and thyme, slight licorice, some oak.
Palate similar. A fresh and lively expression. Rounded and gentle tannins - but somewhat drying. Some blueberry and chocolate notes in the aftertaste after the wine has been open for a while.
Lighter than most Spanish reds, but with good concentration. The high altitude showing its hand.
Medium body, medium + acidity, medium- tannins.

Generally a nice bottling, this vintage is subpar. The nose is pretty with creamy, chocolaty oak, very Priorat, Garnacha dominates but you get the Cab and Syrah. The palate is where it disappoints. Not enough tension and the fruit isn’t impressive enough to overcome a hollow midpalate and astringent green tannins on the finish.
