Bright citrus fruit and oyster shells! Very young and primary, clearly this wine needs a few more years to show its best, but it’s still very tasty now.

Opened and poured, this wine gives an outstanding showing. Consumed over the course of few days, the wine displays focus, detail and depth from start to finish. The bouquet offers oyster shell, saline note and citrus. The color is a very light, brilliant yellow. The light / medium bodied palate shows outstanding length on the finish with enough acidity to give the ample focus.

Wines while dining in Montreal; 10/18/2023-10/21/2023 (Montreal, QC): PnP. Explosive aromas of white fruit, citrus and minerality. The palate is wide open for business with excellent concentration and freshness. Primary for sure, but providing youthful pleasure, with serious upside from here.

Another fabulous Rav, albeit really this needs time in a dark cellar. 93 today but will go higher. Slightly creamier and rounder than the Blanchot had the night before, likely the warmer vintage. After a few hours this settled down and became so mineral with all the classic Chablis characteristics. Wonderful stuff.

2022 Excellent Burgundy Adventure; 10/31/2022-11/6/2022 (Burgundy): Expressive nose displaying ripe yellow fruit, pineapple, golden delicious, lemon curd, a hint of petrol, white pepper, saline, sweet spices and limestone. Excellent concentration, nicely layered opulent yellow fruit, rich and ripe but also nicely balanced, bright acidity, strong limestone mineral, and a long ripe yellow fruit driven finish with a hint of petrol at the end. Although very young, this is drinking well. Based on my past experiences, a few years of cellaring will lessen the ripe vintage characteristics.
