Quite unremarkable, no complex flavors or uniqueness. But, with that, also no unpleasant flavors. tastes good, and at the end of the day, it’s red wine, so all good. If you got served this at some sort of banquet function, you’d be happy with it. If you open it to go with your Michelin dinner on your 20 year anniversary, you are not going to be happy with it.

This medium-to-deep ruby wine, sourced from multiple contracted vineyards throughout the Napa Valley, is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot that was aged for 10 months in French oak (30% new). Popped, poured and serially tasted over a three hour period, it offers moderately intense aromas and flavors of red bramble fruits, Montmorency cherries, baking spices and lavender. Medium-bodied, freshly acidic, lightly oaked and with well-integrated alcohol (listed as 14.5%), it wraps its flavors with a modicum of velvety tannins. Solid on the mid-palate and medium in length on the back end, this is a soft-textured, easy-drinking wine that would be well-received as a by-the-glass option at any holiday cocktail party. This is particularly true when one considers that it does not require significant aeration. Drink now-2028.
