Very Good Gruner Veltliner, served at about 10c/50f (12.0% abv) with seafood. Pale , straw yellow in the glass, citrus-y on the nose. Light-bodied and crisp & refreshing on the palate giving the sensation of slight effervescence. Nice pleasant finish. Excellent value for casual everyday use.

Wow! I'd put this in a GV tasting anywhere. Clean, varietal and lip smacking. Just goes to show you what good values eastern European wines can be, provided they're made well. Another Trader Joe's great buy.

$5.99 at TJs. Bought it as a cheap white to keep around. Upon first opening, it's lean, tight, tart, with light lemon, stone, green apple, white flowers in a light bodied, crisp wine. Not a ton of true Gruner personality, but drinkable and worth the price at first opening. The real surprise comes a week later - kept chilled and capped, this has actually evolved into a really nice wine. Green bean, lemon zest, white peach, stony minerals, vanilla bean; the finish has lengthened and broadened, and the body is closer to medium-light. My recommendation? One I never thought I'd make for a $5.99 wine - stick it in the cellar for a few years and see what happens.

Good, but could use more acid and minerals.
