I stood this up for a few days and drank it over two nights. it was quite light in colour at first, but got darker as I emptied the bottle, with a fair bit of sediment. Earthy cherries and a hint of brett on both the nose and on the light-medium bodied palate. Healthy acidity on both nights, but balanced with the fruit (which seems to be dropping). OK, but definitely time to drink up (B).

PNP. A little cool and closed so decanted. Color garnet w bricking edges. Nose w cherry cola w hints of iodine and sous bois. Swishing shows tart acid structure and some tannin too. Sipping shows smooth secondary flavors - kinda meaty - totally polished and soft. My last bottle. Glad I drank it because I think it is heading south.

PNP. Dark garnet color. Decanted. Nose shows ripe secondary aromas (waxy and prunish - not sure that's a word tho) with a touch of iodine. Sipping shows mostly secondary flavors with rhubarb and spice. I was right before when I said it is time to drink. Great with chicken dinner.

A generously juicy palate of berry seed and sweet rose which grows richer over time as minerality builds. Initial scents of fresh berries and purple plum, which evolve over time with elusive hints of spice and a sappy, powdered candy-like sensation. I love wines that change over the course of an evening.
