From Magnum, Opened on Friday afternoon and decanted. After a few hours it remained closed up. The nose was shy, featuring coconut cream, cassis and wet earth. Bright fruit in the mouth, starting with cranberry and under ripe raspberries and maybe some blueberry. The back end was dominated by alcohol. Not quite equal to a young port, but close. On Saturday, it seemed to have regressed to being even more dominated by alcohol (at room temp), I put it back away in favor of a 2010 Chateau de France (Pessac-leognon) that has been open just as long. On Sunday it began to come around after I chilled it to about 60 degrees. The fruit was more in the blueberry zone and the alcohol less dominant. It was a nice sipper, but pretty one-dimensional and still very bold.
Label says 14.5% ABV, but by taste, it is closer to 16% than 15%.
So now I have about 75% of a magnum left and will keep tabs on it all week to see where it goes.

Has lost maybe just a bit of its fruit, but overall notes amazingly similar to previous bottle drank almost 7 years ago. Still has plenty of life left.

Still getting it done. Fruit is bright, cassis, cherry, ripe blackberry. Tannins still gripping through a nice finish. Really enjoyable wine.

Structure well in tact, fruits are mature. Drinking beautifully, unlikely to improve with further cellaring. Drink now. Still 92 points
