Coravin fun - Bordeaux (My place, Burwood): From Coravin. Blackcurrant, brambles, a little rotten forest floor (not in a bad way, oddly), fruit tea, earth, leather, undergrowth & distant bonfire both grow with time with the brambly fruit. In the mouth it's still got plenty of tannins, mulchy undergrowth view with brambly fruit, leather, earth, soy on the palate. A decant will help, rather nice but drink up in the next couple of years I think.

Coravin fun - 1994 Bordeaux and supps (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. On the nose it shows pyrazine, cream, brambles, blackcurrant, slight oaky notes and a little cassis, a little blood/iron and, with time, a meaty underpin. Juicy, fleshy, dark hued fruits, slightly chalky tannins, slight leather though I find this quite youthful, fair lick of oak on the palate, very nice.

Dark red, with very little sediment. Still lots of fruit, balanced, big and delicious. Expected it to be tired, but this bottle was in great shape.

Still fruity and somewhat flabby, at least side by side with 1966 Labegorce. Likely to improve.
