This remains an incredibly young wine. The structure of L-M Syrah make them wines for the ages. Unlike my last bottle of this wine, I made certain to decant it. The sheen on this wine looks like lacquer. It’s stunningly beautiful in the glass. Loads of brinded black olives, cassis, blackberry, and rosemary on the attack. It all carries through to the long finish with iodine chiming in. Not as tight on the palate, but with huge upside potential on the mouthfeel as the wine ages. The tannins remain angular but softening. Chunks of sediment. 14.5% alc. With blue and truffle cheeses, truffled salumi, and crusty bread. 12.01.23. Highly Recommended.

For a ten (10) year old wine, this is incredibly young. It’s still tight and not giving up a lot. My mistake for not decanting. Nonetheless, it offers brined black olives, cassis, blackberry, rosemary, iodine. While tight, the mouthfeel is still big with the tannins still a bit angular. Some serious sediment. 14.5% alc. With leftover beefsteak and cheeses and crusty bread. 07.08.22. Highly Recommended.

These wines really need to have some time in the bottle. Still remains a fairly robust youthful syrah with complex dark fruits and a bit of a kick at the end. Very long finish.

A gorgeous Northern Rhône….I mean Northern California. Glorious aromatics. On the palate, front and center is black cherry, followed by black pepper, black olive, and violets, and along and luscious finish. Tannins engulf but just so good.
