A Wild Wednesday (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Light gold color. PNP, drank 1 glass over 30 minutes. This had lots of citrus; lemon, lime, and zest on the nose with minerality. The palate seems a bit aggressive both in acidity and the sour grapefruit and lemon and citrus pith that just seems to dominate. There's the requisite minerality, but it gets lost in the mix. Probably needed something better to pair with it too.

Very acidic, as with many of the 2008 Chablis. Could probably improve with a year or two more of bottleaging but lacks the overall depth and concentration to go on for many years. Would not buy again.

Chablis: Milky on the nose, but lively on the palate. Fruity nose of tangerines and berries. Broad palate with grapefruits.

Ken and Kelly over for dinner and playing spades VI (Our house, Kennett Square, PA): My first Montmain. Golden yellow. Tart lemon and citrus fruit; good salinity and acid; oyster shell, briney; licorice???. The wine was richer and more intense than I expected. Very good. Ann loved it.
