  • Half soaked cork. Crystal clear mahogany with a slight pink tinge. Delicate nose of cola, beetroot, cinnamon and cherry. Very soft on the palate with beetroot, cola, leaf mulch and dried cherry. A slight amount of fruit sweetness still on the back palate. Liquid tannins, brisk acidity, long dry finish. Medium light bodied. Well balanced. Quite lovely! Maybe fading (I don't have enough PN experience to judge) but still quite good IMO. Glad it lasted!

  • Fine wine, delightful yet one must take their time with this pretty one. She is shy; takes her time before looking directly at you or gracing you with her soft genuine smile. Good quality balance finesse. Mild spice at finish, full mushroom earthy Fall walk in woods burnt Sienna spectrum yet brighter colors in mouth. Silky texture, velvet at end. Bacchus on the palette the aromas/nose change completely into a kaleidoscope of bright red fruits (92-93)

  • After double decanting and breathing for a half hour, wine is showing beautifully with a semi- translucent soft cinnamon rose color with blush pink at rim, thin and fast legs, with fragrances of sous bois quiet cedar chest. Balanced although somewhat bright with high acidity, dried red fruit , drinking

  • full disclosure - very little experience with aged Burg's like this. Popped 30 minutes ago and 1st impression is nice. Nothing like the big Cali Pinot's I'm used to. No evidence of oxidation. Will see how it develops.

  • Tasted along side 1995 Remossenet Gevry-Chambertin La Perriere and 1999 Henri Perrot-Minot Gevry-Chambertin. This wine stood out in all regards. Nose of slightly candied dark cherry, clove, leather and wonderful sous bois.

Taste of baked spiced cherry, supple leather, orange peel. Very balanced fruit, and acidity. Longish finish of about 30 seconds finishing on the orange peel and sour cherry flavors

More vibrancy and/or intensity than the other two wines. Very nice. Will buy again. Probably at or slightly past peak. 91-92 pts
