Decanted through a strainer and drank over the next three hours. Minimal sediment. Dark brick-red; nearly opaque. Fruit forward, but very tart. Mostly dark fruit, but raspberry overtones. Nice spice. Exceptionally long finish. I have found that their Zinfandels need a long time in the bottle; this one is no exception. This one still has a long time to go. It was very nice now, but it will be a lot more interesting in a couple of years.

A well balanced yet fruity zin with great spice. Not overly heavy on the tannins or alcohol. Tasted as part of a group of 9 Zins with various meats and cheeses and this one was the crowd favorite.

Oh. I like most of their stuff, but this is spoofy high octane run of the mill Zin. Still very young & primary, really alcho nose & palate, yuck. Some ripe fruit driving a rich palate, big mouth of fruit which is good then all the bad.... Maybe a night off will help.
Day II - Nose is candied oak, I like the nose if I am sticking my head into a candy jar but not w my wine sweet sweet fruits on the palate w that high octane thing. This is a punchy in your face wine. Not for me but can see it being a crowd pleaser served a bit cool.
I think it is well made and exactly what they set out to deliver, quality is there.

PnP at the end of the evening. No detailed notes. Smooth, full of flavor and nice spice.
