  Some might not believe now… ich schwör‘s… wollte ein Glas via Coravin probieren und schwupps war der Kork in der Flasche. The all-mighty of Tannins has spoken!
  Zum Wein - dichtes, jugendliches Rubinrot. Nase nach Johannisbeere, Blaubeere, Banane, etwas Lakritz, Teer, Honig. Eher kühler Eindruck, was für 2009 doch eher überrascht. Am Gaumen ähnliches Profil. Offen, kommunikativ, Waldbeeren, wieder Honig. Might come along… let’s see tomorrow. Heute 91
  
  Tag 2 - nach wie vor überraschend kühler, eher blau- bis schwarzbeeriger Eindruck. Gute Präsenz, heute etwas samtiger und vollmundiger als gestern. Ein guter Wert und auf diesem Niveau sicher die nächsten 5 Jahre plus trinkbar aber holt auch niemanden hinterm Ofen hervor. Heute 92

  C: The wine is out of balance. I don't think there is quite enough fruit concentration to cope with the high alcohol here which seems to predominate. Out of balance. The coarse tannins are also dominating.
  The length is contributing little to the wine but the intensity and some complexity indicate that this is a Very Good Quality wine.
  The acid, tannin and alcohol will preserve this wine as it ages and the primary and secondary aromatic elements will yield further complexity as they develop under bottle ageing. This is suitable for ageing.

  This wine is drinking perfectly. It tastes dark yet full, with mature tannins and fruit. A terrific value.

  A big, noble-tasting wine. Nose of cigar box, black fig, cherry, and licorice. Big tannins, modest acidity. I like the prominent oak, which is appropriate for this big wine.

  Luscious fruit flavors, soft tannins. Excellent example of merlot.
