Aromas of sun-dried tomato, plum, black pepper, red clay, toasted oak.
The palate is soft and relatively well resolved. Relatively low acid. Creamy and round. Sweet red cherry, raspberry, dry prune. New leather, slight hint of tobacco leaf, graphite, and toasted new oak.
This wine screams super Tuscan. Leaning modern style but nothing wrong with that as long as it hits the right balance. Because of the low acidic structure, drink this within the next 5 years. 90.

started in the late '80, as a joke between the two owners. Capannelle is a Chianti producer. Drunk over dinner, they blended their wines together in glass. The wine shows the color of blood. 50% Merlot and 50% Sangiovese. very nuanced and experienced aroma. kernel, earth, red fruit, not herb, but freshness and lots of lift on the palate. drinking fantastic. again, not over the top.

This was delicious mature super tuscan. A beautiful nose with earth nuances gives away to a dark rich palate with a long smooth finish.
