  Intoxicating nose of black and red forest fruit, spices, smoke, oak, chocolate and wet earth. High acidity dominating on the palate leaving an impression of a relatively short finish. Probably needs more time and this is a very good wine but not outstanding in my opinion.

  Had this at the winery while on our Tuscany trip to Montepulciano.
  
  Ripe nose of mulberry, ripe plum and some spice. On the palate overripened black cherries and chocolate. Tannins are dominant and tells me that this wine needs much more time and a decanting measured by hours and not minutes. Very young with lots of upside but I really prefer the "Grande Annate".
