My second review of this wine, done independently, is very different from the first, probably because of faulty cellaring, or maybe because it doesn't age well past a certain time period. I can't tell if the bottle is outright defective, but have given it no rating. Although it was not completely over the hill, a distinct metallic element has entered into the taste and the wine is much less enjoyable than it once was.

Estate grown & bottled; 13.5% alcohol; we have aged this bottle for 10 years in a wine cooler at about 18 C, the bottle is still wrapped in white paper from a Total Wines tasting ca 2011; only the Tannat grape is identified, other components, if any?; Saranty Imports, Harrison, NY; medium weight foil, plastic composition cork, medium legs, medium red; nose of citrus, cherries, prunes, Granny Smith apples, alcohol; vinturied and served at 18 degrees C; smooth, full bodied, nice balance of sweet/tannins/alcohol; notes of stone fruit, berries; moderately complex; cries out for pairing with steak, hard cheeses; an outstanding wine made with care, terrific finish, moderate length
