  Violet, cassis, and vanilla mix in a lightly spiced and subtle nose. Medium plus weight, with darker fruits giving way to more secondary notes of earth, leather, and dried black cherry. Very fine, drying tannin on the finish. Still nicely balanced with good acidity. I think this has evolved nicely, and am sad this is my last bottle!

  Black fruit nose followed by flavors of black fruit, cinnamon and spice. This is a medium bodied wine with low tannins and a reasonably long finish. It's a little lighter than I expected, but has good flavors. It's just not as exceptional as I recalled.
