A solid wine at the price point. The nose is a spicy fruit. Color is a very light yellow. Flavor is a bit sweet and the middle of the mouth is a tad bitter with slightly off acid-balance The finish shows off some nice Gewurtz spice but ends with some of that acid bite

Bought this expecting it not to be totally dry. At 11.3% almost no way it can be, at least in the New World. Have to admit, it is sweeter than expected. There is almost enough sweetness to overpower, and dominate the considerable enticing flavors and aromas we expect from this varietal. It is not all bad, tasting a sweet wine every once in a while won't kill you. There is lot's to like here, I just wish they would have concentrated on bringing us the floral and fruity characteristics, with about 1/3rd the sugar. The wine has a deep golden color. Even the nose is sweet with honeyed lemon and lychee. It enters the palate pretty heavy, but leaves a very nice apricot skin flavor on the roof of the mouth. There is plenty of acidity, probably not enough, that if you swish across the palate, sneaks up and cleanses the palate. But, truth is, these grapes could have been put to a higher purpose.
