A very pretty wine. Burgundian in character. Delicate, mostly red fruit such on the palate. Mineral an earth. Not terribly long on the palate. Perhaps fading a little since the last time I had it.

Decanted off moderate amount of medium sediment. Plum red color with some transparency and bricking at the rim. Aromas of sweet plum, sous bois, strawberry, and pine. Palate has strawberry, cedar, slight tomato notes, and a plum finish that is medium. One of the more successful Oregon '97s I've had. Solid, but not a special occasion wine. Drink or hold.
