  • I took a gamble on this bottle at a stock clearance. More out of curiosity. A pleasant surprise: the wine was evolved, but not heavily oxidated as expected. Pale golden yellow. Medium intensive nose of lightly roasted hazelnuts, lemon sherbet, some floral notes and a hint of flint stone. Light to medium bodied with great balance. Intense in the mouth and quite long. Amazingly, a white village that is still very enjoyable at 16(!) years of age.

  • Golden colour, shows an advanced state.
The nose confirms this with some oxidative notes, even though not overwhelming. Same on the palate, which has kept a good freshness. It could be drunk and it's been drunk and it was enjoyable in a way, but clearly the oxidation had started.

  • Nose was really good. Lovely aromas of nuts, yellow flowers and dried fruits. Short and simple on the entry and finish and distinctive age on the palate. Aromas were much better than the taste.

  • Dinner with the guys (Hakumai @ International Plaza): If served blind, I'd have guessed that this is a 1er-cru... which says a lot about the weight this wine has gained in bottle over the years, as well as how well-kept it was. Nose of white flowers. On the palate - honey, butterscotch together with a nice dose of acidity keeping the wine in balance. It finished very cleanly and long. A very good village!

  • Great bottle right now and for a couple of years. Nose with apples, citrus fruit peel, rather full/heavy floral notes. Oxydized nose that fitted perfectly in. Well balanced and in harmony. Medium length body. Had it with a good mulligatawny (where I usually serve Fino Sherry) and the match was wonderfull! Recommended.
