Community Tasting Notes (9) Avg Score: 88.6 points

  • Vin sans vice ni qualité.
Peut-être entre deux âge et ouvert au mauvais moment.

Décevant, en tout cas, sur cette bouteille.

  • Lovely wine. Bright and vibrant. Quite deep dark red fruit, a touch of pepper, good acidity and a silky smooth mouthfeel. An expressiveness and vibrancy here. Top ***

  • light cherry core with purple robe. Herbs and a touch of pepper on the nose. It's not very expressive (but I'm deliberately drinking it a touch chilled) Juicy and moreish wine. It finishes a touch short and is probably a little overpriced for what it's delivering. It doesn't fall away quite a sharply as a previous bottle and isn't at all flabby but I'd expect a longer finish. Still, a pleasant wine.
The synthetic closure (and comments from the winemakers) make me inclined to drink up, not sure if it should be cellared or not.

  • Dark fruit. Meaty, beefy and spice. Some red fruit on the palate. Simple and smooth. Medium finish. Nice and easy.

  • Really surprised by this bottle. A previous bottle was really excellent, not at all like some of the poor experiences detailed here.
It was fresh and vibrant, noticably syrah and a refreshing and interesting crozes. It also continued to improve once open.
However this bottle seems to be entirely different. The aroma is still interesting (smoke and pepper and red fruit) but on the palate it just seems to fall off a cliff. There is an initial attack but it falls away dramatically. The wine is also quite flabby. Bizzare.
    On this showing (82-84)
