Dark berries on the nose. Fig & licorice taste with very nice complexity. Short finish. Guests commented it could have even been cellared a little longer.

Pleasant dark berry nose, medium weight but one dimensional straight forward fruity palate, still plenty of grip, could last another five years, medium short finish. Good as an everyday wine with bar-b-que or burgers. One bottle left. Will get back to you in about 4 years.
The name and the pretty heart label say "Valentine's Day," and so it was. Tasty choice too. The acidity was little edgy upon opening, but after some time in the glass this smoothed out very nicely. Lots of mineral, peppery, even beefy flavors, with a solid core of dark fruit and a slightly plummy finish. Not terribly complex, but lots of flavor and great balance. Went well with a winter stew of white beans and sausage.

Not bad for a $15 bottle. Would have no problem drinking it again with food, but not a repurchase.
