Natebm-One of the best terroir in Puligny in a hot vintage. Nothing on par with the terroir quality though, nevertheless the wine managed to retain some freshness. Drink up.

First post-COVID dinner at Chez Marina et Jeff: Served single blind. This is clean, precise, with maybe a touch of aloe vera and some lovely white fruit. The finish has some distracting sweetness, however. It's not oak, but it's unwelcome. This is not nearly as strong as the 2010 rendition of this, but still a good wine, and a solid 1er cru.

Starting to come into it's own I'd say. Medium golden color, Notes of lemon curd, butterscotch, lime, and a bit of slate. Big and powerful but in balance. Really nice bottle! Others should continue to develop.... no real hurry to drink this.

Thursday Evening Thai Dinner (Friends' Rooftop, Pok Fu Lam, Hong Kong): From magnum. Very light straw gold colour. Nose is muted light lemon. Palate is heady and lemony in several dimensions. Rather lean in the length department. Probably needs a couple more years in this format.

Notes much the same as last. Developing added complexity and nuance. Can certainly drink now or cellar for another….???
