From magnum. Purchased from Brown Derby about 12 years ago, so some travel and uncertain storage history. Translucent cherry red, with just a bit of bricking at the edges. Typical Dundee fruit profile. Maybe a bit of secondary notes starting to emerge. Very good.

Legends of the Spring 2018 (Portland, Oregon house of TW and AW): Ruby with Kirschwasser and orange peel nose. Palate with impressive grip and mild secondary development of sun-dried cranberries and rose hip tea. A magnificent Bing cherry finish that blows out the olfaction for minutes and makes this vintage one of my favs for Mr. right now. Hallelujah, what killer palatal presence! I want a barrel of this wine. (now-2039)

woah! What a crazy cool wine. This was the last pour of the bottle after it was coravined but it didn't show worse for the wear at all. The nose had this beautiful complex spiced meaty red berry. Less pinot and more cool climate syrah on the nose.
The palate was similarly interesting. Lightweight, seamless with crunchy red berry fruit. It had this savory character on the back end that was pretty mouthwatering.

What a difference a year makes! This bottle was on FIRE. Believe in John Thomas. The man is LEGEND.
