Community Tasting Notes (2)

  • The first whiff is all struck match. There’s some mushroom and toast development too. It starts with rockmelon and lemon fruit and expands. The palate has a light butteriness and there’s something mildly exotic too. It such a joyous drink, providing pleasure with every sip. There’s a hint of fruit rind bitterness providing freshness to the finish. Absolutely in the zone!

  • Old but not completely ‘shagged’. It looks like Meursault (well I have to say that as it was served blind by my wife and I guessed aged Meursault that had perhaps seen better days). There are notes of hazelnut, butter, mushrooms and earth and it has a sweet, vinous heart with a finish that dries off with a little fruit rind bitterness.
