Had this at a restaurant at the recommendation of the sommelier and it did not disappoint. Bright golden in colour and oily in the glass, some popcorn and butterscotch on the nose. But it was all about lifting freshness and acidity on the palate. Not the deepest of Meursaults but what a performance (especially given it is a village)! Racy, no sign of any primox whatsoever, this was whistle clean and went down so well as aperitif and then with the starter of roast cauliflower with cashew milk and black truffle. Was in its sweet spot it felt.

Probably jusssssst over the age it would have been ideal. Golden color, not worryingly dark though. Tons of honey and spicy nutty notes -- almost like an aged white Rhone. Truffley candied apple, kerosene (!), argan oil. With just a bit more freshness and acidity this would have been 94-95+ points.. Still lovely (and paired great with mesquite smoked halibut and roasted buttery corn)

Fabulous. Any hazelnut notes have been absorbed and this is showing more clear than nutty Meursault. It is very pure, very clear, very clean and has fantastic acids and energy. Just lovely. Thanks, Sarah. With Sarah and the Sugarmen at Racines.

This drank really nice, balanced with good acidity and fruit, great texture. I didn't take any notes but off memory, it was easy to prefer this over the Sauzet Combettes
