Golden color. Nose of orange confit and marzipan. Honeyed fruit on the palate, Asian spices, orange confit and nuts. Fat, oily texture, good freshness underneath the oxidative notes. Warm year and it shows. I like 2004 and 2006 better. Time to drink up.

In a good place. Fresh and dried citrus, pineapple, nuts, chalk, mild salted caramel, dried herbs, and olive oil. A little chunky but in a good way. Medium finish. Killed with baked Camembert drizzled honey.

WineBerserkers Rhone Tasting; 2/26/2014-2/27/2014 (The Palace, Mission, SF): Golden yellow; bit of a nice funky nose, pear, citrus; full bodied, rich, oaky?, short finish, slightly bitter. Overall this had an interesting nose, but it had much less depth than the hermitage blanc tasted alongside it and it wasn't my style of white. 87

Broad and dominated by honey notes; nice length, good balance, minerals here; the oxidized notes are arriving, time to drink this. #Bagnols-en-Forêts

100% Grenache - perhaps a little clumsy (and sweet) day one but then viscous, long and delicious.....
