Imported by Robert Kacher. I had high hopes for this wine given all the hype about 2005 Beaujolais. Unfortunately, this wine is rather tough and tannic on the palate. Very ungenerous with little appeal although there is good fruit masked by the tannins. I doubt the tannins will ever be resolved. A good bit of sediment in empty bottle. Reminds one of what liquid shoe leather would taste like. Nevertheless, I give it an 80/100 for hanging in there so long.

Still young and not entirely ready to drink I think. There is a lot of bright, red fruit lurking underneath the surface but somehow it just doesn't come out in full orchestra on the palate. I also find just a hint of banana which I'm not entirely crazy about and nice, restrained spicy flavors. The acidity is correct and this could turn out okay with a few more years of cellaring. It will never be a great wine though.

very uninteresting. nose is typical of cheap red wine, palate was bitter and unpleasant at first but opened up and was drinkable for a couple hours. pass.

deeper notes with earth on the nose. light spice, lead pencil and quite lively Medium plus acid. blacker and deeper than beaujolais i've been exposed to.

Nose is very deep and thick. A bit of VA. Palate is acidic, some residual juicy fruit. Tastes like it's past its prime, almost dead.
