Pale pink; flowers and strawberries on the nose; medium bodied but seems light, very light tannin, medium acid, slight effervescence, noticeable alcohol on the mouthfeel despite its 12%. Bright fruit, minerality; medium sweet cherry finish.

Most roses remind me of white wines, and when I drink them, I find myself wishing I was drinking red wine instead. This one has something different going on. This rose has enough minerality, acidy and earthiness that I'm not craving red wine while this is in my glass. I especially like this the closer it gets to room temperature. I haven't shelled out more than $18 for a rose yet so I'm sure there are even better examples in the 30+ range, but if the average rose was this interesting, I'd have a lot more roses in my wine collection. I would purchase this again.
