Medium to deep straw colour. Kerosene-dominant on the nose, some notes of white peach in the background. Medium-plus bodied, slightly viscous in texture, the midpalate is a melange of nectarine, stones and minerals, supported by a bitter lime acidity. Moderate persistence. This bottling under Screwcap. The wine is ok, perhaps a touch weighty to merit anything higher.

Screw cap. The wine was pale to mid lemon in colour and offered peach, quince, pineapple, lemon, apple, honey, a mineral (sea breeze/oyster shell-like) component and first signs of botte age on the nose. On the palate the wine showed peach, apple, lemon and a mineral touch, with mouthwatering acidity, a good mouthfeel and superb length of the mildly spicy and honeyed finish. The medium-bodied, medium-rich, medium-complex wine had good concentration. It was ripe yet fresh, particularly for a 2009, and showed good potential to further improve with mid-term cellaring. Would buy again.

A little bit better than last time. Really smooth. Apples a bit more prominent than previously. Elegant and understated. Finished seven days later. Nicely developed. Nose still quite restrained. So smooth with very mild acidity, hard to understand that this meets the 9 g/l GG limit.

Very quick tasting. Very underwhelming for the huge $100+ price tag. Some complexity and strong acidity. It probably deserves a re-taste.

Ours is not to Riesling why tasting (Prince Wine Store - Bank Street): Integrated green berries and white flowers with searing acidity and a massive texture. Big.
