Colour is very dark more like a Bordeaux than Borgogne. Shows little ageing and i expect it to last for many years to come.
Nose shows a lot of French oak - pencil lead, cedar, nuts and toast. Then there is plenty of deep and quite sweet dark fruit plus plum and raspberry. The wine is viscous in the mouth and medium to full bodied.
On the palate, the wine is powerful with lots of red and dark fruit notably raspberry, plum and dark cherry. There is medium acidity and tannins in kys a fair bit of cedary oak. The finish is long and dry, the tannins and acid giving length and freshness.
I’m glad I have the rest of the case as this is a delicious wine. Some Burgundy lovers may find it too powerful but that is the vineyard and vintage.

For us, in a perfect place. I’ve had the good fortune to enjoy Leclerc for near 30 years, the Combe Aux Moines has always been at the forefront. Wonderful nose, pure fruit, acidity and minerality, long long finish. Wonderful now, probably can go another 7 to 12 or so depending on your bottle luck.

this had nice acidity and big bold purple fruit... nothing complex / pretty foursquare... wonder if some complexity might appear in 15 or 20 years (given I think the fruit will last that long easily)... maybe we'll see, apparently I have one more buried deep in the stack

One of the three bottles was skunked. The cork was fine but the wine was cloudy. The smell was ok but extra dusty and musty. The taste was tannic and a little bitter.
