Chard/Pinot/Gamay (10%) Medium plus nose is pretty, raspberry, orange zest, white flowers, sour cherry. Palate is tart, dry, pretty fruit, nice QPR and friendly price point. Well done.

Albert Bichot w/ Ryan Stonitsch: 80% Pinot Noir, 10% Chardonnay, 10% Gamay. 12m on lees, 10 g/l. Fruitier strawberry and cherry aromas. Not as sweet and fruity on the palate.

Bright and shiny new penny color and tint. Floral and fruity on the nose with flaky pastry notes. Nose also supported by some chalky/gravel notes. Palate offers more concrete representation of the various fruit notes: raspberries, strawberries and day-old red apple slices. Medium mousse: not elegant - more like a party just getting started. Crisp, refreshing mouthfeel. I like this, but I don't think it competes well with basic big Champagne house rosé. I also prefer Albert Bichot's Brut Reserve Cremant de Bourgogne, which not only competes with, but wins over some of its big house contemporaries. 89-90. *Albert Bichot's data sheet a bit confusing: pinot noir and chardonnay make up 80% and gamay is under 10%. Dosage of 10 g/l.

Last sparkler of the am. Another well made French Brut wine. I get strawberry, and lots of acidity with a distinct pomegranate fruit at the mid palette. Some yeast in the finish this one is bone dry with the bubbles and wine disappearing in mouth before swallowing.
