very sweet on nose, rasin with a hint of mint and smoke. Medium bodied. Ok concentration. Soft Tannin. Rasiny on medium finish with strong vanilla note. Acidity carries from pallet to finish.

Aromas of plum and cassis lift from the glass, with occasional hints of smoky oak, leather and chocolate. Plenty of fruit on the front palate, but lacks complexity and feels devoid of all concentration on the mid-palate. A sharp acidity cuts through food, while the finish is spicy and short. Tannins are sweet and fine-grained. Medium-bodied and shedding plenty of sediment, revealing a strong green streak on the last glass!

Tasted at Hollick Cellar Door: Mid red in colour I got aromas of cherry. Tasting reveals real elements of capsicum as well as some ‘ripe’ cassis. Quite light again, but very nice.

Upon first inspection there is a little charry oak poking through but this is quickly enveloped by the ripe, dense, sweet fruit. There are aromas of lead pencil and tobacco leaf and for a fleeting moment one is transported to the left side of the Gironde. Once in the mouth the wine is quintessential Coonawarra cabernet with overt cassis and crushed berries intermingling with dark chocolate and liquorice notes. The palate is seamless and well balanced and it is little surprise that this took out the "gong" for best red wine at the recent Limestone Coast wine show.

Amazing wine, 17 years old and still with fruit. Nice and smooth. Thoroughly enjoyed!!!
