Solid showing for a nearly seven year old Viognier from Paso Robles. Good mineralogy, notes of honey, with great depth and viscosity and integrity to the viognier varietal—tremendous and classy.

Paso Robles Wine Trip; 9/12/2017-9/14/2017: Oily and rich on the nose with almond and lemon curd. Creamy but shows vibrancy. Lemon, quince, almond, hay, candle wax. Oily but not heavy and surprisingly fresh at this age. A great example of how Paso wines (and not just reds), can age very nicely. From winemaker Anthony Yount's first year as winemaker, this is an excellent effort, an eye-opening one for me.

Nice floral expression of honeysuckle, plus white peach and apricot on the nose. True pleasure paired with butternut squash soup with Gorgonzola. Beautiful experience other than the Mets beating the Braves in late innings. The Braves need bullpen help.

Cork broke. Wine was perfect. Bright color. Light aromatics. Hints of pear. Clean finish.

Beautiful wine - still fresh and lively but so smooth and integrated with the age
