A well made syrah that is just beginning to reach maturity and could even improve over the coming few years and then hold for another 10 years or more. I love the Roar syrahs and this one is no exception. A perfect example of what an excellent cool weather syrah should taste like. Bravo.

Opened by Otis. Rhonelike nose. Deep purple color. Notes of tar, burnt oak and plum. Bready finish. 91 points.

This had a lot of cool climate syrah characteristics, drinking pretty well right now, I think it is in a couple of year window of nice flavor

Performing beautifully. Lilacs, pepper, roasted meat. A burst of acidity on the finish keeps it light on the palate.
