I'm not big on Pinot's to begin with, but when I do want to a Pinot I want it to taste like a Pinot. I do not think this wine demonstrated true varietal character. For the price there are much better Pinot's on the market. Would not buy again.

Light maroon appearance. Lightly cooked fruits followed by licorice. Big an chewy when first opened. Raspberries, strawberries and cherries, almost more cab like than Pinot. Opened over an hour in a decanter to be softer, mote Pinot like with licorice finish that lingers. Well balanced acids and tannins.

Food & Wine Pairing at the J Wine Bubble Room (Bubble Room at J Wines, Healdsburg CA): Sweet, stewed fruit, raisin. too sweet on the nose. Not thick and syrupy, still light bodied but like candied.
