Tasting this just two weeks after tasting the 2008 leads me to conclude that this wine simply isn't enjoyable at a young age. This vintage's bouquet is funky and yeasty, just like the 2009, but also shows dried apples and pineapples. There are also undertones of talc and limestone. A hint of sweet lemon on the palate is pretty much all that's being given up here; the wine is tight and has a slight off finish, almost likely slightly rotten fruit and bitter almond. NOT RATED.

A very good burgundy indeed. Tastes to me like a youngish meursault, and will improve over the next 2 years as it puts on a little weight and complexity.

Really interesting wine. Mid palette is bitter fruit. Like really green pineapple core. Mouth feel however is luscious.
