  • PNP. Paired with grilled salmon. Medium red color (dark for a Pinot -showing the vintage) with no sediment. Forest floor, cranberry, tart cherry on the nose. On palate, medium body, high acidity, low tannins and long finish. Fresh fruit (cranberry, cherry) with touch of dirt on palate. Very nice bottle of wine - this has aged extremely well. 92+/-

Note to self - buy Burgundies from warm vintages and CDPs from cool vintages. 2009 Burgs are drinking very well now.

  • Zesty acidity and savory red cherry fruit profile with earth. Short finish yet enjoyable

  • Opened with a profound pinot barnyard that was slow to blow off. After an hour, drinkable showing red fruits nicely tart with clean acidity. Hard to overcome the opening act entirely, better second day. Bright scarlet red.

  • I really enjoyed this - opened, but did not decant, 30 minutes prior to dinner of grilled Salmon steaks. Initially not very impressed. With airtime, bing cherry / black cherry / smoke(?) /mushrooms on nose. Still fruit primary - cherry primarily on palate. Medium+ body, high acids, medium+ finish with tannins noticeable. Great with food. 90-91 range. Pretty full bodied for a Burg.

  • Nice acidic and rustic Burgundy with intriguing aroma that's enjoyable but missing just a little something to push it into excellence. Aroma of cherry, cassia, juniper and musty wood. Brightly acidic, with a smoky finish that lingers, thanks to noticeable but pliant tannins. Very little at the front of the palate, however, leaving this just a hair too lean. Still quite enjoyable, but it's ultimately teasing by hinting at something special but not quite following through.
