About the same as my last note though I think I enjoyed this a bit more this. It's a bit more complete than the other bottlings but not really better because of it. It's certainly not worth paying twice as much for in comparison to the rest of the Rare Wine Co Historic series. A good Madeira.

Drank over the course of something like a month. Drank consistently over that time. This is a nice Madeira but just that. I like some of the regular series bottlings better than this 'special' version. More roasted nuts in this than most of the others. Figs and caramelized fruits. A touch of citrus. Not all that seamless yet nothing obtrusive. It's just kinda good. Not worth the premium price in comparison.

Consumed over two weeks. Deep amber with aromas of butterscotch, roasted nuts and orange zest. Soft presence on the palate presenting rich flavors of roasted fig and burnt caramel. Not my favorite of the series. Would have preferred more acidity as it lacked sufficient energy and lift.

TFS: Madeira Master Class (Tria Fermentation School): made as a fundraiser for Christ Church in Philadelphia, this is a blend of several Madeira grapes (30% Bual) with an average age of ~30 yrs. fig, caramel, and roasted almonds. very soft mouthfeel is quite pleasant. finish is smooth with only minor heat.
