  • Expressive nose of pure blackberries, currants and black cherry; Such a beautiful nose. Palate shows a beautifully resolved-pure Cabernet that has so many positive notes, I worry I won't do it justice with words.
Black fruits with a freshness and exuberance that belies its ten years. This one has beautifully pure dark fruit, verve and balance. I get interest in some cardamom, graphite, cedar, tea leaf and more. Finish holds it all true to itself. A llight weight wine that is not shy about what she is about. Just a great wine to the ending of what is actually a shitty week for human kind. I almost wished I had opened something that sucked......

  • This might have been one of the best wines we have had from Elizabeth Spencer Winery. The wine smelled great when the bottle was opened, with lots of fruit on the nose. We decided to decant it because of the sediment on the bottle neck, and the age.
It was a gorgeous dark ruby color. We spent about 75 minutes drinking this wine, and it continued to evolve throughout the bottle.
We tasted dark raspberry, ripe plum, cherry and even a little bit of anise or black licorice.
The tannins were soft and smooth, and the finish was extremely long. There was just enough tannin to let you know it was a very nice cabernet.
