The wine was medium to dark ruby in colour and offered red fruit, strawberry, dark cocoa powder, spices and smoke on the nose. On the palate the wine showed ripe red fruit, tart red cherry, strawberry, dark cocoa, coffee and meaty notes. The finish lasted very long. The combination of fine, medium-level tannin and tart, medium-plus acidity left a drying impression. I saved a glass and had it two days later and the wine was smoother and less tart and drying on day three. A very good Grenache. I am not a big fan of this tart red fruit style, however. If I had another bottle I would hence hold it for five years as the wine seemed to have enough fruit and structure to age, but that would only be for personal preference.

Rich and powerful. Tobacco, dried fruits, leather and roasting flavours. Some drying tannins, smoother on day two.
