X-mas dinner at my parents (Parents): Drank during X-mas dinner- center loin pork roast. Very well made Paso Bordeaux blend and easy drinking wine. Was a little apprehensive with this wine- but ended up wowing me. I would buy another bottle if I could find it.

Decanted 2 hours 45 mins. Zippo on the nose. A little wet earth and some slight oak hints. Good smooth body, surprisingly firm tannins, but very little fruit. A little hot. Really flavorless.
I'm not really experienced enough to identify a dead wine, but from desciptions I've read, this is it. Could a predominantly cab blend be that past peak in 6 years?

Too sweet and hot. Still very fruit forward after all these years. Well past its prime. No finish.
