Very nice wine; classic notes of cherry, tobacco, tar, floral notes, and just a hint of spice and balsam. The palate is still young with very present tannins, but also very nice acidity. Good with food now, but will definitely get better with 3-5 more years of age. Had at a restaurant.

oct 2013 purchased in barolo on release fine cork popped and enjoyed over 3 days
color - purple blue, nice transparency. very youthful nose starting out with fresh red berries, bright, primary. over the course of 3 days, day 2 was the most expressive with larger notes of dark fruit, licorice, tree bark, slightly floral. very nice for a nebbiolo d'alba palate - almost beaujolais like at first showing bright red fruit, lively acidity and dusty tannins. as the wine slowly opened up, this turned into a completely different wine on day 2 and 3. it became darker and mosre astringent ( in a healthy way) this will not win the hearts of everyone once it starts showing it's feathers. it is lovely and fresh but not fruity and polite. this shows enough complexity and structure that it will age for a few more years. decant now for 2 hours or keep for another 4 to 5 years. very happy that i bought 2 bottles. will drink the next one in 3 to 4 years. very nice and for 19 euros - very good QPR

Mittellanger, harmonischer Abgang.
