Substituted for an Oregon pinot (O-noir) with cedar planked salmon, this wine did the job admirably. The typical barnyard (at least that's been my experience with many/most wines from this region) blew off quickly and the wine opened right up with high toned notes of florals. Acids and minerals were noticeable on the palate but the fruit (cherry raspberry) complimented everything nicely. Pale red in color. Pretty wine and very nice!
Last tasted by me in 2013, I agree with the last reviewer that age hasn't really added any complexity, but its still a nice glass with the right food.

Consistant with all previous btls. Light as an Alpine breeze. Drank the whole thing solo over the course of an evening. The lightness of this is dangerous.

I forgot how good this is. Rarely does poulsard disappoint. Gorgeous unfiltered translucent ruby juice. Nose of black cherry, mountain flowers, a little buttered popcorn. Ripe cherry, high toned, great acid. Really singing. Never been to the region but I think this is the definition of terroir. This is the alps. I love this stuff and it works as an aperitif, with food, or on its own after dinner. The challenge is not finishing the bottle by myself in one sitting. Yum, just yum. Viva Rosenthal!

Pretty, elegance and mineral. Great with out salmon dinner. Age hasn’t really added any complexity.

As before, light as a Alpine breeze. The only thing I dislike about these is the wax capsule which always makes a bit of a mess.
