Well-made combination of spice and red fruit. Red currant, raspberry, white pepper, clove, strawberry. The oak is in moderation and better integrated than I'd expect at this price. Low-key tannins and medium body.

Made for Trader Joe's by Castro Cellars, the Cabernet Sauvignon for this wine is sourced from the Paso Robles AVA. The nose shoes plum, vanilla and white pepper characters. On the palate I found blackberry, blackcurrant and tobacco. It's medium bodied and smooth with well integrated tannins. Not much on the finish, but all in all a delicious wine for $4!
