  Very rich, robust wine but with plenty of that almost smoky, slightly sweet dried fruit notes often encountered with nebbiolo in evidence here, with some of the distinctive candy notes also typical of nebbiolos from the region but to a lesser degree. Instead some full red fruit on the palate (strawberry?) amongst the notes identified above and a rounded full finish with tangible though not overblown tannin structure.
  
  Definitely a food wine and those who don't like sediment in the bottom of the glass would be well-advised to decant, as this probably wouldn't do the wine any harm anyway
