7 years in the bottle and it's still a bit eye-watering upon opening. Mellowed out in an hour or so. Blackberry fruit, and plenty of it, then some oak and leather. Good BBQ wine.

Not great..seems a little watery despite the high alcohol content. Finish is muted and unbalanced. Ok but not worth the price.. PP should stick to Pinot...

While this does not need time to age, it absolutely needs some air. My first taste was a blast of Port-like notes and cough syrup. As soon as the alcoholic whiff blew off, this actually was quite nice. Sure still a pretty big Zin but it has some balance. Dark fruit, spice. What else are you expecting?

Interesting... The Papapietro Perry Zin was very good when tasted at the winery but this one started off a little Robitussin-ish. Certainly not what I think of when tasting a Dry Creek Zin, but more Amador. It took me some time to recalibrate my taste buds, it settled down after some air and was pretty good when paired with BBQ pork. Worth a second shot...
